Q: How is faculty salary history information added to a faculty record?
A:
The CCLP has a nightly interface with the DivData application. Faculty record with a CruzID value that is in DivData, should have salary history information listed in the CCLP provided that salary history information exists, in DivData, for the faculty member. Faculty members with temporary CruzIDs (ids that start with TMP) will not have any salary history data. As new salary history records are added to DivData, the CCLP will receive those values during nightly processing.

Q: About faculty salary history records
A:
Faculty salary history records are fed in to the CCLP nightly from the DivData system. The faculty salary history is reflected in the Faculty record on the Salary History tabbed area as follows:

  • The salary history record will reflect the academic year, effective date (of the appointment), the appointment, the category (Ladder, LecSOE, or Temp), the salary.
  • Some faculty members that have multiple appointments for a given academic year and effective date will have separate lines for each appointment department.
  • As new salary history records are added to DivData, the CCLP will receive those values during nightly processing.
  • Faculty with temporary CruzIDs (those that start with TMP#####) will not have any salary history records. When the faculty member gets assigned a CruzID then you can change the TMP CruzID in the CCLP and if there is salary history for that individual it will be fed into the CCLP in a couple of days. For information on how to change a temporary CruzID to a real CruzID, see How to Change a Temporary CruzID.
  • Faculty salary values are listed in Sched Dev instructor records under certain conditions.

Q: The CCLP has a faculty salary value that looks incorrect. How can I change it?
A:
The CCLP has a nightly interface with the DivData application. Salary history information is sent to the CCLP from DivData. If you see a salary value that looks incorrect, then check DivData. Changes made in DivData will be reflected in the CCLP with the next day or two.

Q: The faculty record does not have any salary history
A: Faculty records will only have salary history if the faculty record has a real CruzID value and there is a corresponding salary history record for that individual in DivData. The CCLP receives nightly feeds from DivData of any new salary history records. Faculty records with a temporary CruzID (one that starts with TMP) will not have any salary history. For information on how to change a temporary CruzID to a real CruzID, see How to Change a Temporary CruzID.

Q: I changed the faculty member's CruzID in the CCLP when will the salary history data appear?
A: When you change the faculty member's CruzID it will take three days for the salary history data to appear in the CCLP (if there is salary history in DivData). For example, if on a Tuesday you click on the faculty record CruzID in CCLP and indicate that you want to change the CruzID the salary history will appear three days later (on Friday). This is providing there is salary history data in DivData.
