Other FAQs About Support Records

This section provides answers to Frequenlty Asked Questions (FAQs) about other topics pertaining to support records in the CCLP. If you don't find the answer to your CCLP question, try putting a keyword or phrase into the Search CCLP field (in the upper right corner) and press Return, or you can submit an idea for a FAQ.

Q: What data appears on the Current Courses tab?
A:
The Current Courses tabbed area on a support record displays a listing of any schedule records, in AIS Sched or Sched Dev, where the support individual is assigned for the academic year you have selected in the CCLP. For example, if you logged into the CCLP with 16-17 as the academic year, the Current Course tabbed area will show AIS Sched record and/or Sched Dev records for 16-17 only.

The information in the Sched Dev area on the Current Courses tab will only appear if the support individual appears on the TAs/CAs tabbed area or the Readers/Tutors tabbed area of the Sched Dev record. If a TA is on a secondary section of the Sched Dev record but does is not listed on the TAs/CAs tabbed area of that same Sched Dev record, the Current Courses tab of the Support record will not reflect that TA is assigned to that course. This is because the workload and cost are calculated when the support individual appears on the TAs/CAs tabbed area of the Sched Dev record.

Q: How is a Support Rate added to a support record?
A:
The support rates are logged into a CCLP table and are defined by Support Title and division. In order for a support record to have a support rate value, the support record must have a value in the Support Title field of the support record. For example, there is a specific support rate for the TA support title.

Q: What happens if the Support Title field is blank on a support record?
A:
If the Support Title field is left blank, the support individual will not appear in the dropdown list in Sched Dev on the TAs/CAs tabbed area. When the Support Title has a value of TA or CA and the support record has a value of Hired or Pending in the Status field, that support individual will appear on the TAs/CAs tabbed area of a Sched Dev record. One of the reasons why this is important is when the support individual has been added on the TAs/CAs tabbed area of a Sched Dev record, workload and costs will be calculated for that support individual.

Q: What is the difference between the Support Title of Reader and Reader BA?
A:
The Support Title of Reader should be used for individuals who do not have a bachelor's degree. If the individual has a bachelor's degree, the Support Title should be set to Reader BA. Please note that the support rates are different for Reader and Reader BA.

Q: If the individual is an undergraduate and is a Reader should I select a Support Title of Reader or Reader BA?
A:
If the individual does not have a bachelor's degree the Support Title should be set to Reader. The value Reader BA should only be used if the individual has a bachelor's degree. Please note that the support rates are different for Reader and Reader BA.
